LGBT support organisations

The following organisations are not directly linked with the University of Leicester but can provide support and advice to anyone interested in LGBT/anti-discriminatory practices in education.

• Leicester LGBT Centre - located on Wellington Street in Leicester, a short walk from the University, the Centre has a café and hosts a range of events throughout the year
• Schools Out - Schools Out has been campaigning for LGBT rights in education since 1974, and free membership is available for students
• Stonewall - the leading UK LGBT rights campaigning group, able to offer advice and a wide range of resources. They also conduct wide-scale research into the lives of LGBT people
